Our experience with Retro Experts went very smoothly. The tenants were very informed by Hilda Cabrera about the process and their involvement. An added plus was that she is bilingual. Also, the tenants knew who to call if there were any questions. Understand that there can be delays and the City of LA does take their time to perform inspections; which delays the project. We did obtain several other bids but Retro Experts was the best. We were happy with the service and decided to do another building with Retro Experts. Overall I highly recommend this company.

Retro Experts has been great through the whole process of the retrofit. As a tenant I had so many questions. It is not an easy job to experience as a tenant but Retro Experts were so attentive and tended to all our needs. The work took a little bit longer than they originally estimated but they were sure to update us and let us know. They worked hard to assure the workers would be gone and the area quiet by the time I (and most people) get home from work. We cannot say enough about this company especially Sean Phil who came out to check our property regarding the possible need for retrofit on our building. Prior to meeting Sean we met with other people who said we needed work. Sean came and told us we didn’t! Sean has great character and integrity. They sent out their engineer (Pedram) who agreed! Be aware there are companies that will take advantage … but you can trust Sean and Retro Experts!!

I have had a difficult time with this process. It’s not easy as a tenant because there is so much work going on that tenants feel they are not aware of or have questions about. First I want to commend Hilda for coming to us and answering as many of our questions as she could. They gave us an estimate and updated us on the timeline of the work so we would be aware. Secondly, I had no idea what retrofitting work is, I also had no idea that it was even mandated by the city! Retro Experts took the time to educate me as a tenant even though the decision isn’t even mine and I don’t think any other company would.
